Hey guys, I've got a 2008 Triton 196 with a merc 200. Just recently, when I start the motor, the needle will flutter up and down and after awhile, the needle will just drop to empty. Every time I first start it, it will go to the correct level then it will flutter for a second and then it drops to empty, just wondering if any one else has heard of this. Thanks for the help.

Could be connection at sending unit at gas tank. Corrosian at the connection itself remove wire clean then reinstall. Personally I use an inhibitor such as BoShield to stop corrosian after cleaning spray it on check once a year if needed repeat.
Who ever said nothing in life is impossible. Never tried slamming a revolving door.
