I hope this isn't off topic.
I've got a 2011 Yammy 150 2 cycle. I think my prop seal is bad because it is leaking oil out the prop. Is there a reputable mechanic that can come to my location (Arlington)?

"Redwigglr" does do some mobile jobs. Search his name. His prices are UNBEATABLE and his work is spot on.

If you've done a lot of slow speed trolling, that is normal for a little to leak out.

Leaking lower unit oil or unburnt oil/gas out of the prop?
Put the plug in.

I would pull the prop and take a look.

Leaking lower unit oil or unburnt oil/gas out of the prop? Good point. Big difference between lower unit/gear oil and engine oil leaking from the prop. Most likely, it has to be lower unit/gear oil. If I am wrong, somebody please correct.

Leaking unburned oil out of the prob is normal. Take a sniff of it. If it's gear oil, it will smell nasty. Like transmission fluid kinda. That would be bad.

Thanks everyone. It's been sitting for 8 mos. and only started once a month or so. I'll check the smell to see if it is motor or lower unit oil.
Again, thanks to you all and in a month or so we'll all be fishing again.
