I have a 16'bassboat that I have kept in an enclosed storage since I've owned it. My house now does not have an area where I can keep it indoors. I am considering purchasing a carport to keep it under. While most of the year, this won't be a problem, I am concerned about winter time. My motor is an outboard motor. Anyone have any feedback about storing a boat outdoors in the wintertime?

I had a '98 Skeeter with a yamaha 115 and kept it in the driveway, I did nothing to it at all and it was fine.

Change the lower unit oil evey year before the first freeze to get any water out of the unit.
