 Abu 6500 will not engage

My abu 6500 c3 recently developed a problem where after a cast or lowering the line the spool will not engage after I start reeling in. I have to pull up on the release button to take it out of free spool.
I would normally take it to the shop to get fixed but have a big trip coming up mid next week.
Any ideas on how to fix this?

Could be a couple of things...dirty to the point that it will not operate smoothly or a misalignment between the Star wheel and the clutch arm

So you are suggesting clean and regrease the position holder and clutch arm?
I tried to fix a different problem, pin on thumb release was not long enough to put into free spool, on a another reel a while back and when I put back together I had this happen afterwards. Any suggestions or pointers? maybe not enough or too much grease, there does not look to be much grease under the position holder and module.

Took reel apart, cleaned, greased and put back together.
Reel now works like a champ.
1st time I have been able to fix this problem myself.

Took reel apart, cleaned, greased and put back together.
Reel now works like a champ.
1st time I have been able to fix this problem myself.
