I like the Dobyns Fury rods for this, http://dobynsrods.com/rod/fr-765flip/ is the number of it. It is a 7'6" long rod that is MH rod with a fast tip. GREAT for small jigs and T rigs. Goes from 1/4 oz up to 2 oz. So, if you are throwing 3/16th, this SHOULD work okay, but check it out first. I normally T-rig with 1/4 oz, sometimes 3/16th and it works fine for that application. Good rod for the price and in your price zone, too. Hope this helps. If you have more questions, feel free to e-mail me or PM me. Hope this helps. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck. Thad Rains

Thad mentions a good one, for sure! I'd recommend a St. Croix Mojo Bass, MJC71MF, that is 7'1", rated down to 1/4 oz. (up to 5/8s) and a Medium power. Just a personal thought here that most people over-power their rods, using H when MH would be better, MH when M would be better, and so on. I'd prefer M over MH. But, there is also an MH Mojo, MJC68MHF, that is described as a Jig-N-Worm rod, 6'8", 3/8s to 1 oz. and it'd give you the additional range to use the rod to toss some heavier jigs, too. $130 for either. +1 on the Dobyns fury rods, excellent rod for the price and more sensitive than most 250 plus dollar rods I own...
