As I upgrade my axes, I have been focused on Shimano first (Curado 200 K, Chronarch MGL, Scorpion DC 17) and then Daiwa followed by Abu Garcia (which I have a nostalgic soft spot for). However, I thought I would poke around and look at Lew's a little. I quickly became confused by the the Lew's model lineup. I certainly don't think I want to spend over $200 for a Lew's reel. Do any of you have thoughts on where a good sweet spot is for Lew's reels and what the key differences are in the price points / models? Any comments, if honest and not knee-jerk, will be helpful.

Sportsman Outfitters try here== counter offer the price== speak to a person not just order.
All I use almost is Lews and have, BB1 PRO #1 Super Duty #2 I have seen the SD at Academy for $99 before.. At SO ask for 1st responder military or LE discounts, shipping A+++

If I lost all I would replace all of them with Lews

The tournament mb’s are good for the price (about $140), if you want a better one then the Pro G is $199.
But they do seem to have too many options. The bb1 is their crankbait model.

Simply put, Lews will out last any reel brand on the market today, and I use 13 Fishing reels. They just fit my hand best.. But for reliability, LEWS!!! Get yourself a Team Lews Lite. I have one and hands down, it is simply bad [censored]

I started buying Lew's reels back in 2013 after fishing with just about every brand for the previous 30 years. I started out buying 3 and have bought about 3-4 every year since. Most are BB1 Pro's (usually retail at around $200) I wont even pick up any other reel other than my old Abu Winch I use for deep cranking (great reel as well). I have yet to have one go bad and I am not the best at maintaining reels. The ones I bought in 2013 still work as well as the newer ones I have purchased. I told myself when I switched over to Lew's, I would give them 3-4 years before I jumped to any conclusions about how well they are built or quality. Well, those 3-4 years have passed and Lew's has passed every test I consider worthwhile. I will be purchasing a couple more in January, probably BB1 Pro's again. I am officially sold on them. Great product.
