Has anybody had any experience with the Pro G? Trying to find one to check out and nobody carries them, like to touchy feely before I buy, then will order on net if better price.

I have one. It only has centrifugal brakes - no magnetic brake. This is fine for regular use but without the mag brake I feel like it lacks slow spool speed control for finesse/lightweight lures. The centrifugal brakes do not engage at low spool speeds. The result is over runs and loose coils. I also have a Tounament Team Speed Spool (the next version up) and it has the same issue. For finesses or lightweight lures I prefer the previous Tournament Pro. I use mine for C-Rig and love it for that, especially the 8:1 gear ratio. I use Team SS for swim jigs and other baits I use in thick cover or pads. The fast ratio keeps the bait up on top.

Thank you for the response and your input on the reel. I have one Tourney Pro and 2 of the LFS $99 models and all cast great. Think I'll save my money and buy 2 more of the LFS models.
