Hello, I'm looking at buying the Daiwa D-Shock 9Xi Spinning Combo at Cabelas. The reel for the 9' rod says 200/10 for capacity (yds./lb). Would using 15 pound line hurt the reel?

It is rated for 8 to 17 if you look down in the Cabella's ad. So, you are good to go.

They often list a "reference line" so that one has an idea of how much line of a certain size the reel will hold. So, 200/10 means you'll use somewhat less line to fill the reel since your 15 lbs. line is larger.

Enjoy the new combo!
