Don't own any, but did handle one at the store, and I was very impressed with the crispness and light weight of the "finesse Jig" model. I say "go for it!"

I have a head turner w/ a split grip with a premier and it's the lightest set up i've owned. I ordered an amistad split grip with micro guides and can't wait to get it.

Who cares what your fishing rod looks like? You like the rod you have. Keep it.

He didn't say he was getting rid of his old ones. Just wanted some oppinions on some new ones.

That being said. The split grips are every bit as outstanding as the full handled models.

Because it's a pretty well-made rod with enough flex in the tip to cast well and enough backbone to handle big fish and enough sensitivity to feel the bite with a nice finish and a somewhat moderate price to go along with it's light weight. Just all around well designed rods. (From a Loomis guy, with shirts and hats and everything.)

Real trucks don't need spark plugs.

I have one lowrider split grip and have fished several cara's and I dont particularly like them. Very limited actions available.Feels simular to mojo bass rods to me, little tip heavy. I like Shimano Compre, crucial and Quantum energy pt rods much better. Again just MY OPIONION...
And my powell max blows the lowrider away, much more sensitive..
