I have about 6 reels I need cleaned asap. Who are the locals in the area?

Im about the only one local to dfw that I know of. Southwestern Parts in Dallas... But good luck on ASAP and getting them done cheap there.. You can try pm'ing Steve aka 03svtsnakevert on here. He is very quick but you would have to ship but being in Texas it might be possible you could get them back in time...

Nathan- do you work on old reels. I have a few reels I liked that I used braid on and now the drag does not work on them. I have used them for paper weight. I would not mind using them again.

Let me know. I live in north Dallas.

when finished fishing do you always release all the drag?

Im guilty of not doing this myself but I also don't ever fully lock the drag down. I also don't think carbontex or carbon fiber washers are as susceptible to this happening. But with fiber washer it will crush them after a period of time.
