Was fishing a club tournament today and in the last hour while spot locked on a point I went to move. Quest motor suddenly sounded like gravel in a blender. Pulling it up to check for line or something stuck in the prop, nope. Called it a day. When I got home I pulled the prop and it still sounds the same. Sort of like a bearing went out. Guess it’s going to my dealer Monday. Was insult to injury after loosing 3 overs on Ivie today.

Crazy

Went with the Quest after looking at all the brushless motors because of how my old Ultrex held up to the abuse I gave it. Luck of the draw I guess. Just hope it don’t take forever for parts. Local shop where I bought it from is good on getting them in and out but was told when I bought it a few months ago that something happened to it they can’t repair it because Minn Kota want them back for evaluation since their so new to market. Hopefully that’s changed

When the OG Ultrex first came out mine went bad and MK had me send back for evaluation. They were prompt with sending me a replacement but I like you was in the middle of a tournament down at Falcon and it sure put a damper on things....

Dealer looked at it and thinks its a broken magnet, bad thing is nothings changed with Minn Kota and it has to be sent back as they are not allowing dealers to work on them yet. No idea on turn around time. He's going there for a dealer meeting and training next week and hopefully he will find out more when there.
