So I have a Skeeter SX220 center console that I bought from dealer with 30 hours.

Boat has seen very little rain over the years and stored inside 99% of time.

Went to Louisiana for a week and we got at least some rain almost everyday. Every morning we would get up to go fishing and nearly every LED switch was glowing red like they were on, but they were off.

Open up console and had a ton of water on the inside.

I guess I was expecting these switch panels, and console gauges to be sealed somehow. Apparently it just rained right through it.

Anyone do anything special t their panels to keep water out?

Your expections are not too high. Boats are designed to be in and around water. I would take it back and ask the dealer.

Bummer, and good luck.

One 10-pounder is better than ten 1-pounders; but 100 1-pounders is ok too!
