I tied in to existing harness and my graph shows 11.8 volts.Iam going to rewire direct. Is 11.8 low enough to cause a prob?
Thank"s in advance.

It will run normal at that voltage but when starting the motor it will probably freeze up or turn off. After you rewire direct to the battery you should have around 12.2 or better if not it may be a battery issue

Since you are going to wire directly to the battery, add an inline on/off switch on the dash. This will prevent your unit from accidentally turning on and will isolate it from any battery variations caused from the charger.

Also use the proper gauge wire for the distance to the battery. That is probably the reason you are reading low right now. You'll have to bump the wire a little thicker for a long run to the bow.
