We added the Helix 7 SI GPS 409850-1 unit to our boat late last fall with hopes of adding ipilot this spring. Now that I have been introduced to SI and all that goes with it I am almost confused.

Can the above listed unit be networked?

I feel like I want a unit at the drivers seat as well as this one sits up front, suggestion on a unit to cohabitate or is it just best to duplicate the unit?

No, you would need at least the Helix 7 G2N (which is he new version of what you have now) can be networked. You can get an older core unit to network such as the xx8,xx9 models. If you go I pilot link you will need an Ethernet capable unit
