With the good deals on these units right now I may be in the market but I have a few questions. Can you link them to share data and what can they share. Only gps points or can they share transducers like the lowrance hds units can. Can you link between any of the echo map units? Like. 73sv with a 53dv? And how hard is it to link them? Plug and play with buying an expensive cord or what? Thanks for the info! FYI cabelas has the 73sv non Chirpfor $499.

The Striker and echoMAP units will all share wpts via the brown/blue wires on the unit power cables. You simply connect brown to blue, blue to brown from one unit to the other, then enable Data Sharing on both units. You must step up to the units that have Marine Network (Ethernet-networking) to share transducers, mapping, etc.

The cable below is available to connect the wiring between two units. This cable is marine-tinned and has protective sheathing. Other marine-rated wire can also be used.
