I need to take my trolling motor to shop for repair and tried to remove it from the bracket by taking out the allen head screw in the front but still can't get it off the bracket. Any help would be appreciated.

I have removed mine before when in deployed position. Might try that. It should slide off (up) once allen screw is removed.

I went out this morning and it came off easily, have no idea why it wouldn't come off yesterday.

Thanks anyway!
