I've got a 96 champ that the pedestals are stuck. They have the style that have plastic button to release them..it's broke. Anyone had any luck on this or same problem?

I used to have a Champ and they always got stuck. What I did was pack some ice around the bottom of the pedestal, waited a minute or two, then was able to twist and pull the pedestal out. It was a pain!

Did I sell you my boat? roflmao

I had the same issue with mine. I think is the way to go until time for carpet replacement. Then get new pedestal bases.
