Hello group,
I own a 2001 Triton TR22 that currently has a 74 lb 24 volt thrust trolling motor but need more juice to handle the wind. I purchased a 36 volt 112 lb thrust motor but when looking at the engine compartment (guess thats what you call it) there is not a obvious spot to put the extra battery. I think the boat was built this way because there wasnt 36 volt trolling motors for sale when the boat was built. Has anyone run into this problem before?
Cheers, Brandon

I am not familiar with the TR22, but I would think you can mount a strap directly to the bottom somehow. I'd be willing to bet they make some sort of kit for it.

My boss had zero room for another battery in his rear compartment as well so he set up an extra battery in the port side rear storage compartment and strapped it down. It crowds the compartment a little but he has the power he wanted.

Thanks guys! There is room in the rear compartment, but the area that has availability does not seem sturdy. Would you put a battery here? Thanks!

Seriously consider mounting the extra battery mid boat or forward. The extra weight of the fourth battery has a big impact on my planning from a dead stop. I also sit more heavy in the rear end because of it. Try to distribute the weight better if you can.
