Fishing in the rain this weekend one of my HDS 10-Gen 2 shut down. Tried to power back up and blew fuse. Looked like some water got inside the card slot. These units are 2.5 years old. They should be water proof correct? Is there any warranty left on them or will the unit dry up and still work? Kinda pissed me off since the units are not old and should sustain some rain. Is Lowrance products for fair weather or just don't purchase from the company? What should I do? Any help with this would be appreciated.

Its probably fried and Lowrance will want to upgrade you to the next level at a discounted price. 2.5 years the warranty has expired....

I figured the warranty is expired, may not purchase another Lowrance Unit especially if this happens to them.

Lowrance has had water intrusion issues with units in the past. Not completely water tight

This is why I may not purchase another. My insurance will cover most less deductible. We'll see how much.
