The last couple of times I have went to get my boat out of the storage unit, one of my power poles has been deployed. It also did it once at the house after just a couple of hours. I noticed tonight when I got home that the hydralic fluid is low, so will get some and fill them up. Would the fluid being low cause the pole to deploy on it's own or could there be another problem?
It has always came right back up when I press the up button, but just wondering why it is deploying on its own.
Thanks

Not an expert on Power Poles per se, but they are actuated by hydraulic cylinders (something I do know about) and the cylinders have pistons w/seals inside. If the piston seals are not in perfect condition, the cylinder will leak down, and you'll never see any external sign of it. Try this - next time you pull the boat out on flat hard ground - if you have 2 Power Poles - deploy both hard down & see if the one that leaks has less power than the other. Cylinders with bad piston seals shouldn't have as much power as good ones.
