is there a sonar transducer that will work with a 798 mine broke and I dont use sidescan so really dont want to spend the $$$ for a sidescan ducer

Yes, you can use a Dual Beam. Just change the transducer selection in the Sonar menu.

The transom model is the XNT 9 20 T and the trolling motor puck is the XTM 9 20 T.
The Shoot-thru is the XP 9 20 T.
