Buying a trolling motor in the next few days. Will a 80 lb be fine in all except terrible weather.

I have a 20 foot pontoon and decided to go with the 36 volt, it works really well on windy days. I don't have any regrets.

I'd go for the most thrust if it were me.

That pontoon is like a beer can on the water. You are going to want the 36v-112lb.

i have a lowe 20' pontoon. We tried an eighty and it would move the pontoon but if there is wind you will want the 112. We returned our eighty and purchased thew 112. the 112 moves the pontoon around good.

You might also post that over on the pontoon forum. I'm sure somebody has a troll motor on a 20.
