I am installing a Helix 10 that has the internal antenna but I have a puck that I have used for a 998 & 999 and I was curious if the external antenna would be better than using the internal antenna. Any thoughts?

For the most accurate waypoint creation based on sonar returns and most accurate returning to them, it is best to have GPS antenna at the sonar transducer location. Console unit with transom GPS antenna.
You can use the GPS puck you have with a Helix, same plug and play.
