I am struggling with the wiring. I am pretty sure it is wired Parallel which makes it 12 Volts. I have 4 wires coming to the BOW panel. Black Red Orange and White.
The old Johnson trolling motor had a three pin socket. Black Orange and Red:[/size]

The new Minn Kota has two Pin.

Coming from back of boat to the panel are the same 4 color wires. Red Black White Orange. They are wired to the panel as a switch that lets one CHARGE or TROLL.

What am i missing here? I cut the orange wire on back of the panel figuring that was part of the charge which I do not need anymore. I would love to route all straight to the SOCKET and bypass the switch but there are 4 wires.

This is for a 94 Cajun.

Thanks in advance!!

I had a similar 12/24V wiring setup with a Javelin I used to have.
