Tired of fussing with my temperamental troller.
I'm gonna buy a new one with spot lock for my Pontoon. I'm looking at one that allows the unit to be removed on days I am only riding around with family. I usually keep the transducer on the trolling motor, but with this setup, that will not work.
So I need ideas as to how to place the transducer somwhere that will not get knocked off the first time I trailer the boat. I pull it every month or so to powerwash it.
Thanks in advance for your ideas...

Why not? I installed a 112 60in. Ultrex on a Bennington pontoon. You cannot use the US-2 transducer but I mounted the Helix 7 di transducer on the trolling motor, seams fine. You can get a transducer extension cable to disconnect when removing the trolling motor.
