My sonar stopped working on my console unit. The chart worked fine. What is the potential fix?

Check to see if you have pressed the stop sonar option. If that is not it then more infor may be needed.

I recommend the soft reset first, then the hard reset. Be sure to save your 'Settings', wpts and trails before the hard reset. I would do this even if performing a soft reset. If it is working intermittently, I suggest cleaning the sonar cable and unit connectors (both female/male). This cleared an intermittent 'No Source' on SI/DI for me by cleaning the Ethernet connectors.

Thanks. I did a soft reset but it didn't help. I will try a hard reset today. What do you use to clean the cable connection

Don't do what I did in cleaning the cables end. I used a toothpick (two). First toothpick I place in female and rotated it, then wiped it, and went to the next one. Repeated this with second toothpick to make sure it came out clean, like testing cake doneness. It worked so well, I thought, what the heck, I will do it to the other unit although I was having issues. Well, I got carried away, and broke the pick in the female receptacle. it took awhile, but finally got it out with a lot of TLC. I would use a stiff toothbrush or maybe some piping (non-metallic) if there is such a thing. Any ole bristle should do, just don't use something that could break off.

Try this: page-settings then restore defaults
