Not familiar with map cards and stuff. My home lake doesn't show up on my 999 bird but lakes like Palestine and Ray Hubbard do. What's a good card to get? Not looking to spend more than $150. I mostly fish in the DFW area, Joe Pool, Waxahachie, but still travel to Fork, Athens, Welsh, And Fairfield pretty regularly.

Go to Humminbirds website and the Lakemaster section. They will have a listing of all of the regions and the lakes that are supported by each chip.

Also go to the Navionics website and view the Web App. It has the current maps as of today.
Humminbirds read Navionics and Lakemaster digital mapping.
The new Navionics+ Regional cards are $149 MSRP and have both Nautical Charts and Sonar Charts as viewed on the website.

Be patient and you can find them sold on the forum used for around $75. Could buy both and use each as you want. I've got both. I use lakemaster the most but Navionics will give you more detailed info on Pool and Fork. I still use the lakemaster 99% of the time because I like the features built into it.
