I have a helix 10 si. It will loose depth at faster speeds. I understand this, but I have to power unit down when I stop to regain death reading?

Are you running just the hdsi transducer or a shoot thru hull transducer with y cable along with the hdsi transducer. If you get your transducers set up correctly to run a high speeds you most likely will not have to reboot the unit

If the shoot thru is installed correctly and in the correct location you shouldn't be losing depth readings at any speed. Is this something that has just started or is this something that's been an issue since installed

Had a HB 1198 and using same shoot thru with helix. No problem with 1198. also have tried different hdsi transducer and different y cable. Sometimes after I stop the depth will come back after about 5-10 min.

I'm running a lowrance at the console also. Will the 2D from the lowrance affect this?

The problem most likely is with the shoot thru, it's the one that provides the 2d. You can plug the shoot thru straight to the unit and see what kind of difference it makes when you slow down and idle around. Then I would plug the hdsi straight to the unit and idle around to make sure it will read 2d. Then run at high speed and see if the 2d recovers when you slow back down. If the 2d shows back up and looks normal then you have eliminated the head unit being an issue

You running it at the same time with a separate transducer? It shouldn't have much effect with losing depth reading at high speed. Cross talk would put a lot ofvertical lines on the 2d readings usually, but you could just try running one unit at a time to test

I lose depth reading at 15 mph. It comes back when I slow down. I have the Helix 10 si, with the hd transducer.
