 Waypoints on HB Helix 12 and Helix 10

Question:
I have a Helix 12 and 10 networked together. I share waypoints between the units. Is there an easy way to keep the waypoints organized between the units? For example- If i mark 5 waypoints starting with WP001 (for example) on the 12, then say a waypoint on the bow unit it starts over at WP001 and now I have two WP001's.
Is there an easy way to avoid having duplicate names?

Edit/Rename the waypoints as you create them.
Helix 12 CHIRP MEGA SI+ GPS G3N and G4N, 1198c SI, SOLIX 10 SI G3,
Helix 8 MEGA SI+ GPS G4N, SOLIX 12 SI and G3, MEGA 360, MEGA LIVE TL, RC-1
