Can you use the same wiring for a 1199 as you do for a 999.

Yes, they have the same cable ends the only difference is the cable collector that plug into the back of the units. Same cables different cable collector, assuming your 999 is the si model

There is only one 999 and it is a Side Imaging model-----999ci HD SI Combo.

The cable collector is the only difference in hooking up a 1199? Another question is I am assuming that you can use a external puck on the 1199 also?

Yes same transducer, same power, same Ethernet connections. When I switched my 998 out for 1199 the only thing I replaced was was the mount and head unit, and the external puck will work on the 1199 as well, plugs in the back

If I get a 1199 I will put the 999 at the bow and sell my 859 that is on the bow at present. Looking for a good deal on a 1199 for now.
