The gears the cables tie to in the head of it snapped. It's a Motor Guide and I'm not sure what year model it is. It's 36 volts and 81lb. thrust. It was on the boat when I bought it back in March and from the looks of it has been on the boat for a while. Maybe original, boat is a Cat 04 Sabre. It has some battle scars but up to this point has worked just fine.

Anyways, I want to get back in the action ASAP. Does anyone know someone in or near the Frisco area that could repair it quickly and does good work? Option two is a new one and would like to hear the latest and greatest from you guys also.

I talked to them and I have a 98 model and some parts aren't available. It can be retrofitted and parts are around 100 bucks and for 200 bucks total they could do it. They recommended Allstar in Lewisville. I talked to Dyran and they are going to take care of it and have it ready before the weekend for the same price.

Thanks for the help...

Thanks a lot John. I really appreciate you going over all the details with me and spending the extra time dotting the i's and crossing the t's to help me understand what needs to be done. It will not go unnoticed down the road. Thanks so much again you guys. Good luck and safe travels through Texas this weekend with all the heavy rain forecasted.
