So I have a 1988 Skeeter that has a partially rotten floor and the transom appears to have weakened. The motor can be flexed ever so slightly. The motor, however, is sound and runs like a top. Lots of good times in this boat, but I know its time to part ways. I will respect your opinion. Should I sell as is, being honest about the issues, or sell the motor separate and try to get what I can for the rest of the gear then get rid of the hull. Also I haven't figured out the getting rid of the hull part yet. Help is much appreciated.

You'll probably spend much more on it than its worth, if you don't do this work your self. unfortunately. If it were me, I wouldn't sell it, just figure out how to dispose of it. One thing about putting your blood, sweat, tears, and money into a project like this is that if you di a good job, you'll be forever proud of your work. Good luck.

Easiest way would be to sell it for the motor but they take all or find you a boat with a bad motor and transfer yours over.

Thanks for the replies. I really don't want the added project, but your right LFF, . I would rather find a boat without motor just haven't found one that doesn't exhibit potential for the same issues. I am definately interested if anyone has a lead on one. Where can you unload a useless boat anyways?

It is a 1988 Evinrude 88 HP. Rockwall Marine worked their magic a few years back. She purrs.
