I just bought a Hds 7 Gen 2 touch and I can not seem to get the same answer twice about networking. All I am trying to do is make it to where I can mark and share waypoints with the front unit. Can I do that with any Lowrance unit with gps and a network port on it? Bass Pro said I can only network with other HDS units and I really dont want to spend another grand on a front graph.

You did not say what unit you have on the front?
I networked my HDS with a older lcx 20.
Just go in the menus of both units and check "share waypoints".

It came with an old LCX 15 that is just black and white. I was trying to determine which unit to buy that will network with the new HDS

Yeah, As long as its got the NHEA 2000 network port it will work.
Does not have to be a HDS.
One of the Elite series units with GPS would work for you.

Yeah that is exactly what i was hoping for...I don't really care about side imaging up front so an elite 7 would work perfect.

Thanks

You know your going to have to buy the NHEA 2000 starter kit and the other connectors to make up your network circuit.
Don't know if you looking for a new unit but I just ordered a new HDS 9 Touch Friday.
Tackle Warehouse has a Memorial Day 15% off sale going on.
