There has been a few changes to the Navionics Nav+ chart card recently. It is now a pre-programmed card ready for use directly out of the box instead of it being blank and needing to be downloaded like before. It comes pre-loaded with all of USA and Canada with Gold and Premium chart data. It does not come with the Sonar Charts layer loaded, but as long as the card is registered within 60 days of purchase, the user will have access to the standard 1 year of free updates with the ability to load the sonarcharts layer during the updating process. So really it has made the Nav+ offer the best of both worlds in a pre-programmed chart card, but the ability to update and receive the Sonar Charts layer without it having to be inside certain regional boundaries. The only drawback is that it is now a 16GB card so it will not be compatible with the old legacy style units.

Wayne, Actually I think there will be just the one, but the Updates card will still exist and will still create the 2GB version when activated. It will now also be able to be activated by numerous existing cards from Navionics and other manufacturers such as:
- Garmin Bluechart - Garmin Bluechart G2 - Garmin Vision - TRAK marine & Lakes cards - Lowrance Insight cards - Lowrance Insight HD cards - Lakemaster cards for Lowrance - Fishing Hot Spots cards - CMAP MAX on SD/mSD - CMAP NT+ on SD/mSD - CMAP NT on SD/mSD
