What type of rod holders are you using? Any specific info on pros and cons much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Folbe or Folby are the best I have seen.

Folbe.

lenahorse has fished in my boat with my Folbe rod holders. Rods come straight up out of the holder so the hook set is no problem at all. I've been using Folbe rod holders for years in the Pacific NW. Caught everything from American shad to 14' sturgeon on them. Never a problem.

Everybody has their favorite and I'm not sure one is better than the other. If it holds the rod until you need to pick it up, it works. I use Driftmaster. I have four bases on each gunwale and the actual holders unscrew and store away when not needed. At around $7 each y.ou can have as many bases as you like and it won't break the bank. I even made some out of aluminum bar stock for my previous boat
