Alright! This is for anyone 21 and younger. My best friend (Alex Koch a.k.a. hydraslide14) and I are putting on a no money involved(unless you want to put on some side bets!), youth tourney in the DFW area. All we will do is meet up, pair up and go fish! I have digital scales to use from my club, so that's already covered.

If you can't take out the boat on your own or you don't have a boat of your own, your Dad (or whomever) can ride with you, HE JUST CAN'T CATCH YOUR FISH! haha

Some people will also pair up if needed.

Now we need a date guys! Throw 'em out! Preferably any weekend after the second Saturday in October.

Hey Kevin not to say anything bad about the tourney you are trying to get together because i think its great but there probably isnt alot of people under 18 that have boats to fish a tournament. Im 19 and just purchased my first boat this May. Just a little something to think about. Alot of guys probably think they are not included because of the no boat thing.

count me in if someone can let me use the back of their boat, im to cheap to afford a boat because of the whole college thing.

Can someone over 18 operate the boat?

make it 21 and under haha. you will draw lots of college anglers!

You might want to change the format and make it an old geezers and young guns tournament.

Could get more boats involved and rides for the younger guys that would love to fish but don't have boats.

Could make it where the old geezer would have to have someone 18 or younger in the boat.

Hmm, I like the 21 and under idea...

Me and Kevin are extremely lucky and get to use our dad's boats, and im sure not every young angler has this opportunity. We need a way to get all that want to participate on the water. Hmmmm

I might be down for a 21 and under it would be a great chance to meet some of you DFW guys. If it ends up being that way let me know and I will try to make arrangements around other tournaments and stuff to fish it plus trying to get some money together to travel and stay at one of those lakes.

And you geezers (what is the age of a geezer) and under 21 come on out I dont mind more competition just more of reason to want to title!

Alright guys, here's the plan. Everyone sounds like they want 21 and under, that sounds good to me. And the "not having a boat" or "not being able to take dad's boat" situation, your dad can drive the boat and everything, thats fine, he just cant catch your fish haha.

One question. How long will the event last? Kids that are young say 6-12 may get bored if the fishing is slow and lose interest. Are you doing an age group and species class? If you are trying to get kids fishing thats great. I have seen alot of kids get bored fast, it can make for a long day.

Well, I wanted to do strictly bass, keep it simple. This is no money involved, it's all for the fun of fishing and getting to meet more fishermen in the area.

Age groups can be:

1-7
8-15
16-21
