Unless I am just not looking in the right places, it seems like you fish Conroe only or you have to drive to central Texas or east Texas.

There ought to be a trail that hits Conroe, Livingston, Richland Chambers, Coleto Creek, Somerville etc. Anyone know of such a trail?

Well, Livingston bass fishing is below average, RC and CC are not Houston area, both are more than 2 hours from town. IMHO, Somerville fishes small during tournaments. Hope that helps. I'd rather drive to Rayburn and Toledo Bend for a tournament.

The SE Texas Region of the BASS Federation fishes Conroe, Livingston, Rayburn, Toledo, Coleto, and Richland Chambers next year. Not necessarily in that order.

Anglers-Quest runs a series on Conroe, Livingston, Houston & Rayburn, you can fish any of the tournaments with the one time annual membership fee, after that you just pay your entry fee at whichever tournament you decide to fish.

I've fished the fed and all that, looking for a team deal for myself and the old man. A buddy of mine sent me the Anglers Quest info, but it looks like they are all independent series for each lake. We may just end up doing that I guess.

Fish Bass Champs -- East ...... Toledo bend and Sam Rayburn.
tough field ,,,, but BC is run by a great group.
Chad & Jeff do a wonderful job.
and the $$$$ ain't bad either.

I haven't fished anglers quest since Bill passed but it was a good trail. Some good local fishermen were in it. That's who I would recommend for Houston.

Not a lot of Lakes in Houston area that are good enough to draw enough teams to survive. And Rayburn is closer than RC & Colletto for a lot of us.
But if you feel RC is close enough for you than maybe check Media Bass. They run a few divisions in that area.
