I went to Fly Fish Texas in Athens yesterday with two purposes. One was to give a presentation on Carp fishing, which i did, and i thought it went pretty well (at least nobody walked out in the middle of it). The second goal was to meet Rex Walker, and i did. I have followed Rex's post's for as long as i have been on the forum and, as many of you guys probably understand, i feel like i know him. Turns out, i had him pegged just right. He is a very kind and likable guy ( the same can be said about his daughter as well). We only got to talk for a short time between our ptesentations but, for me, it was like running into someone i've known for a while and its one more i get to check off my list of people on this forum i would like to meet. I sure hope to have Rex on the front of my boat someday soon so i can pole him across a flat and watch his casting magic.

I apologize for the delayed reply. I had a fun day Saturday. The weather was annoying, but it did give me a chance to visit with several of the people from here. It was nice to have time to visit with several of you.

Capt. Mac, I enjoyed finally meeting you and your son. You've got me excited to go fishing. smile

Glad it all worked out for you! Weather seems to ALWAYS be annoying this time of year (FEB - APRIL) doesn't it? And it is seems to get more intense to the east of the Messtroplex.
