Bagged a nice one on my new Piscifun four weight reel. Took me well into the backing and the drag worked beautifully. Lots of carp on the flats. Should be a good season...

Congrats on the carp.
I just picked up a gold sword in a 7/8wt myself. I like how smooth the reel is but I missed the sound of the click-and-pawl drag on my 6wt.

Hey, thanks for the replies guys.
Mitt - I hear ya. Kind of looses some of the exitment when you hook a big fish and the reel isn't just screening. But the drag sure is smooth
FishyB - I've got a seat in the boat with your name on it
Zach - the end of the season for me is sometime in mid September. You can catch them on the flats until the first real cold fronts hit in later October ( usually ) but by late September I'm usually looking for sand bass and black bass.
Robert - yes sir, took s page right out of your playbook. Hard to beat big fish on really light stuff...
