Water was dirty brown so I tied on a black beadhead wooly bugger and fooled a crappie. First fish of the new year.

Nice fish! My first fish of the year is usually a trout from the Blue River. But, every once in a while, I'll sneak down to the spillway and start the year off with a sand bass. Only once can I remember it being a crappie and I wasn't fishing for crappie. If I remember correctly it was at Texoma.
