Had a request from a Reader asking us about fly fishing presentations we use. Put clips together from trips to the Blue, Lower Mountain Fork, Turner Falls, and Possum Kingdom. May be of interest to others come this November! Fly Fishing Presentations. Really liked the question; sounded like a good topic to add to the forum.

Thank you for posting that. I'm a terrible trout fisherman and that video was very helpful. Being a bass fisherman I approached trout the same way and thought you have to bring "life" to the fly by adding action to it. Now if I can just learn how to select the correct fly......

Where is the blue river located?

Thanks Froghunter! As Smurfs indicated, the Blue River is in Oklahoma. It's close to Tishimingo... here is an online article of the Hughes Crossing area of the Blue River and where most of the footage for the Blue River was taken. Blue River by Hughes Crossing.

No problem; good luck this November. Did fish with a Micro Flyrod today; caught a nice Catfish and posted a video. In the video, I show the strike indicator made from a section of hi-vis dacron backing line that is mentioned at one point in the Fly Fishing Presentations video. A normal strike indicator was spooking the trout, but the dacron backing line was not.

Go to 2:16 in the video to see it. Today's Video.
