I sent my 8 wt jim teeny TFO rod in about a Week ago for a broken midsection. Had a voicemail today from tfo saying they don't have any replacement parts in stock and it won't be until October 7 before they get any in. What a bummer. I'll be missing out on on flyfishing all of September and prob half of October and this beautiful weather we are having. Anyone else had their repair take that long?

Never, ever, rely on one rod. Fly, spinning, levelwind, salt, fresh.... Too many things can go wrong. Buy a backup rod, reel, and line. I have broken many rods since I began fishing back in the fifties. There has only been one that I can say for certain was the manufacturer's fault. Hurts to dump a trip because you weren't prepared.....

Nope, never had TFO repair take that long...but I'm sure they have many other rods in stock you could purchase for a back-up. Life is too short to miss any time on the water.

Oh I have another lighter weight rod I can use plus spinning rods. Just prefer this one. Plus I'll be pulling the shotgun out instead for early teal anyways. Just thought it was crazy it would take a month and a half.
