My topic is a little misleading.

I was fishing this morning and when I made my backcast it looked like I had hooked a small bit of weeds.

I finished the cast and stripped in my line. As I got it in I discovered I had foul hooked this little fellow.




That's a #8 woolly bugger attached to him.

I let the poor little guy go, but after I did I thought about all the posts here where bass grabbed a hooked bluegill and how I should of just cast him back out and waited for that monster bass.
