Backwoods in Fort Worth is hosting a month of Tourneys for a total of five occurring every other Sunday. It's a one-time $20.00 entry fee, and then if you wish to participate in the Big Bass, it's $10.00 each tourney day. I was the only fly fisher, so I want to encourage more fly fishers to show up on Sunday 15 October 2017. They have a Facebook page called the Trinity Bass Battle. It was loads of fun and lots of fish were caught. Fishing occurs any where on the Trinity River inside the 820 Loop. Tournament day is from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, Big Bass payout, and a raffle.
