Ive got a question about fishing Caddo Lake. Parts are in TX and LA. The TPWD annual states:

Residents of either state, who are properly licensed in their state (or are exempt because of age), or persons who hold valid non-resident fishing licenses issued by either state may fish in any portion of the lakes and rivers forming a common boundary between Louisiana and Texas inland from a line across Sabine Pass between Texas Point and Louisiana Point. Fish landed in Texas must adhere to the Texas bag and length limits.

I take that to mean a person with a TX license can fish in Caddo LA waters legally? I've only been there once and stayed in Big Cypress Bayou because I left my GPS at home by mistake and didn't want to disappear.

I ask because there are weird laws concerning the Red River between TX and OK.

I really, really, really suggest that you contact Texas Parks and Wildlife directly. This is not a question that I'd leave to any other source.
And yes, I agree that there are weird laws regarding TX and OK fishing smile

Caddo lake and Toledo Bend can be fished with either a Texas or Louisiana license. You can fish all over the lake. Texhoma you have to have a Texhoma license.

Asked and answered before. Yes, it's shared waters. Fish wherever on Caddo with a Texas or Louisiana license and you're good.
