Apparently they really like white clousers!

There were schools of 40-60 buffalo. Some tailing, some cruising, and some just chilling in the river. If you drift a white clouser through the school you'll get a strike or two and bump a few fish in the process. I've found the key to keeping them on is to put them on the reel as soon as possible, because if you have any slack they will spit the fly. These fish are freight trains and they will run faster than Usain Bolt, which makes for one amazing fight!

I'm sure I've said that many times...at times they are almost impossible to catch and other times will readily hit a clouser...guess that's why its called fishing.

The internet kills spots like my cat kills stuffed mice.

First, maybe final post, but I had to say it.

The nunya river starts at dam bitness and flows all the way to the gulf.

All the hallmarks of Denison Dam, but what do i know?
Great spots are arrived at by boat. Yes, they seem to feed on occasion, but mostly not! First one I ever caught was at Denison Dam. One client caught three in one short outing, and I strongly encourage clients to ignore them nowadays, as they are a waste of time. Their sheer size leads to distraction.

Texasflycaster some of those buffs at Denison dam are freakish dump trucks and good cause for distraction.
