 Troubled Bridge over Water

I was driving along our local river and saw several bass feeding right beside the bridge, nice ones, not yearlings. All I had was my 3wt, 5X tippet, and a Stimulator. No problem in the open water. The bass was hooked well but was smart enough to go under the bridge. I just could not winch it out with the 5X tippet against that current. The strike was the best part anyway.
