With my staycation in full force and going to Lake Somerville most days to fish the spillway, I took a break from the drive and decided to do a little urban fly fishing out here in the cypress suburbs of Houston. Fishing with my light 5wt and a few cricket and grasshopper flies, I was actually looking for sunnies, but caught a few small bass on the top water flies. Never did land any sunnies but time well spent outdoors. Darren Goforth Park Lake. Nice park close to home. Any other suggestions for good ole local sunny action for the wife would be appreciated. Trying to get her hooked on catching fish with me!!!
