for a few days..i have a sage 2280 8wt and am planning a redfish trip to port oconner in a couple weeks. Can it handle the salt if I rinse well after each day or do I have to get reel specific for salt?

Rightfully Sage only makes a few reels for saltwater fishing. Myself cannot guarantee the 2280 will holdup to saltwater . saltwater reels

Just rinse it well and oil it. rinse flys also and let air dry. I had bigger issue with books rusting than reel. If I was doing lots of salt I would buy a salt real. Iho
