Any of you tie damsel or dragon fly nymphs. I'm a live bait fisherman, fishign with black soldier fly larvae. I've noticed lots of damsel and dragon flies on the river. I was wondering if their nymphs are what may these black soldier fly larvae such a good bait? Basically matching the hatch via terrestrial larvae?

I was looking at images of those larvae. They look quite a bit like meal worms. Usually the damsel and dragon fly larvae are down in the bottom muck. But still, yeah, those flies are almost always a fine go-to. This is about as complicated as I want to ever tie, if the fly is just for fishing A woolly bugger fills 99% of fly fishing needs
